• Co-organizer of the longest running zoning battle in Maryland’s history – to keep Route 4 from becoming one long commercial strip

• First Clinical Director of Camp Phoenix, bereavement camp for children, 1995
• Disaster mental health responder to a tornado in Kentucky – 2000
• Responded to the Pentagon for bereavement support and Critical Incident Stress Management on 9/11/2001
• Current Member of the Calvert County Critical Incident Stress Management Team
